hmm i think there's a difference if the guy is being asked whether or not a girl is cute or if he just comes out and says it.
like if you were talking to a guy-
you: hey what do you think of that girl over there?
him: ehh. she's cute
vs.
him: dang! that girl's cute!
you:...
you know? it depends how he says it. so cute can be a compliment or a bit of a diss i guess.
the difference between pretty and cute...hm. if it's coming from a guy they pretty much mean the same to me :huh:
