Ceeday joined YouTube in October 2014, but started posting videos only around April 2016. His then profile name was Ceedaygaming and he initially did multiple montages and gameplays on Destiny. He also sometimes played other games.

In 2017, he started getting noticed on a larger scale when he started to edit his gaming videos to be funny, patenting what would eventually be called "Ceeday sound effects" even though he himself didn't create the sound effects. Due to this, he earned 80,000 subscribers that year itself.

In 2018, he began using the same strategy to make his Fortnite videos, and because it was such a novel and popular game at the time, his views naturally increased and his subscriber count went from 100,000 to 2 million subscribers in just a few months.

Account Deletion

In May 2018, Ceeday mentioned that he had been getting lag spikes on his Fortnite account, due to the many friend requests he was getting. William had not turned on the 'Auto-Decline Friend Request' setting, until he found out about the issue. When he turned it on, he could not access his account, and therefore he was forced to delete his account.

Because of this problem, Ceeday lost all his progress, all the awards he won, and all the outfits he purchased including his favorite outfits: Raptor, Raptor's Back Bling, and the Disco Pickaxe, which he got back in June 2018.

First Hiatus

Ceeday did not upload videos between July and early August 2018, on grounds of moving to a new house. He later uploaded a video called “I Survived Ligma” in which he explained his reasons, and that he would be able to upload regularly from then.

He also said that he would no longer upload on a monthly basis. He uploaded a video on May 2, 2019, on Fortnite's collaboration with the Avengers franchise, playing the game mode "Endgame". That same year, he participated in 2 Friday Fortnites, created by Keemstar. Ceeday has live-streamed both the events and has not been active ever since.

Technically, his last usual comedic gaming video was uploaded on May 22, 2019 which is titled "FeMalE RApTor". He also released another Ceeweek special and uploaded a video in July 2019 called "TAC ON CRAC", a video on Fortnite's iconic and famous Tactical Shotgun that was released at the time this video was uploaded.

Subsequently, he uploaded 3 more videos consecutively, and after the last video ‘MINECRAFT on LEAN”, he took another unannounced hiatus. At this time, Ceeday’s subscriber count started gradually declining.

2020

After many requests from fans and followers, Ceeday uploaded another video on YouTube on New Year's Day in 2020, titled Lightsaber Rewind 2020.

Ceeday continued to upload 5 videos in the span of 6 days, then stopped uploading consistently. The last video, ‘Mythical Ceeday’, was uploaded on February 24, 2020. He took another hiatus after this video.

On December 1, 2020, Ceeday live-streamed Fortnite's Galactus event. On December 25, 2021, Ceeday posted on Instagram, teasing his return for Chapter 3 of Fortnite.

2021

After a gap of 21 months, Ceeday returned from his hiatus and uploaded ‘Chapter 3: No Way Home’, on December 25, 2021. He claimed he had lost interest in uploading videos due to the current state of Fortnite and the conditions around the world.

2022

As of 2022, he has uploaded one video, 'Ceeday Vs Goku', on August 26th, 2022. He said in the video there's not many things Fortnite could do to get him back into the game, but he made this video since Fortnite brought Goku into the game. His channel currently has over 7 million subscribers and over one billion total views.
